MANGALDAI, April 1 - The eleventh edition of the Darrang district Karate-Do Championship organised by the Sipajhar Karate-Do Academy at the Sipajhar Academy playground concluded with a day long programme on Sunday.
Around 150 young players from different parts of the Darrang district participated in the championship.
Laba Choudhury emerged as the champion in the individual Kata event of the senior boys category while Nayanmani Deka and Jyotiprashad Deka occupied the second and third position respectively. On the other hand, in the junior girls category, Abhisipa Deka bagged the title while Madhusmita Bordoloi and Momi Sarma stood second and third respectively. In the U-15 girls event, Karabi Duwara and Hasina Begum were joint champions.
