Journal of Early Birds released

GUWAHATI, Jan 16 - Prabhati Pakhi, the annual journal of conservation NGO Early Birds, was released at a function at Gauhati Commerce College by its principal Homeswar Kalita recently.

�Although everyone knows about the danger the Earth is facing, only a few are trying to rectify the situation. We need our collective endeavour as well as efforts in this regard. We can achieve it by changing and modifying our lifestyles,� Kalita said.

He also narrated the activities taken up by the College to boost the morale of the students to dedicate themselves towards nature conservation.

Moloy Baruah, president of Early Birds, gave an account of the growth of the organisation and the challenges it had endured in the last 28 years.

Dr Satyen Choudhury, the editor of the journal, narrated his experiences while editing the last five issues. Monaroma Das, Dr Sonali Burhagohain and many other members attended the function.

Panchanan Barman, a teacher of the College and also the assistant general secretary of the organisation, conducted the proceedings.
