IRCTC to run tourist special train

GUWAHATI, Nov 29 - With a special focus on the people of the North East, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Ltd is set to run a Bharat Darshan tourist special train in February next year.

The train will be run from Agartala for nine days and eight nights and will cover places like Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj.

The train will have boarding stoppages for tourists at Dharmanagar, New Karimganj, Badarpur, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri and Katihar.

The cost of the package is Rs 8,505 per person, which includes train fare in sleeper class, vegetarian meals and sightseeing through a bus and accommodation for night halt. Online booking can be done through www.irctctourism.com or IRCTC agents.
