ITANAGAR, April 5 - The district administration of Itanagar Capital Region has temporarily suspended import of fresh vegetables from neighbouring Assam in a bid to address people�s concerns following detection of a COVID-19 positive case in Lakhimpur district.
�In view of the prevailing situation arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the import of fresh vegetables to Itanagar Capital Region is hereby suspended temporarily until further order,� read the order issued by Itanagar DC and District Magistrate (DM) Komkar Dulom.
The DM directed the Member Secretary, Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee, and the officer in-charge of the Banderdewa police station to initiate necessary action to ensure compliance of the order.
