Imbibe ideals of Krishnaguru, Sonowal urges youth

SIVASAGAR, Oct 15 - Addressing the open session of the 20th Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Yuva Samaj biennial conference at the Boarding Field here on Sunday, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that the nation, blessed with a spiritually strong youth power, will certainly develop and prosper in all aspects.

He called upon the young generation to imbibe the ideals of Krishnaguru and strive hard to fulfil his dream of spiritual regeneration of the whole world for peace and also lift Assam higher among the States in India.

Krishnaguru, established in a small ashram at Sarthebari in 1974, today has millions of followers all over the country. The inaugural address was delivered by Manikuntala Goswami Patowari while the meeting was attended, among others by Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Tapan Gogoi, Minister of State for Power, Kushal Duwori, MLA, Sivasagar and Pallov Gopal Jha, DC, Sivasagar. Followers of Krishnaguru Ashram took out a massive procession to mark the occasion.

The CM while briefing the media categorically stated that the BJP-led ministry in the State has been working hard for ensuring security of all ethnic and other groups living in the State and hence there should be no security concern for anybody in the wake of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016.

Tens of thousands of followers of Krishnaguru congregated at the conference venue from all the districts and participated in the common prayer session, spiritual seminar, hoisting of insigne and other programmes. The seminar was also addressed by Dr Madhurjya Mandita Baruah, HoD, Assamese, Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Viswabidyalay.
