Update: 2010-09-15 00:00 GMT

GUWAHATI, Oct 5 - The Gauhati High Court has fixed October 20 as the date for hearing the petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) challenging the order of the Court of District and Sessions Judge that had discharged Congress leader Ripun Bora in the Daniel Toppo murder case.

The high court fixed the next date after the central investigating agency had sought time to present its case. The petition is being heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice (acting) N Kotiswar Singh.

Bora was discharged by the trial court in 2014.

Reacting to the development, Bora said that he has full faith in the judiciary.
