GUWAHATI, March 1 - The Gauhati University Teachers' Association (GUTA) recently staged a dharna in front of the administrative office of GU demanding immediate implementation of new UGC-pay package in totality. Later the GUTA members submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor. Teachers from every department took part in the dharna. They also decided to boycott their classes from March 3 to 5. This was stated in a press release.
