KOHIMA, June 21 - A gun battle took place between security forces and some militants in Mon district of Nagaland but no casualty was reported, Assam Rifles sources said today.
An operation was launched by security forces yesterday in Shenga Tangten area near Aboi in Mon district. The forces observed movement of few armed cadres and on being challenged the militants fired upon the security forces. The forces retaliated but the underground cadres reportedly fled into the jungle, the sources said. � PTI
