JALUKBARI, June 7 - In a shocking incident, a female student of the Gauhati University Law College was allegedly molested by an unidentified man inside the varsity campus around 8.30 pm on June 5.
According to sources, the incident happened when she was walking towards her hostel along with her roommate. The law student, who has filed an FIR with the Jalukbari Police, has demanded quick action against the offender.
Meanwhile, students of the Gauhati University also staged a sit-in demonstration, demanding stern action against the culprit.
The police have started an investigation into the incident, the sources added.
