Green Valley, Moran TC earn full points

GUWAHATI, June 11 � FC Green Valley of Guwahati registered their third victory in four outings in the ongoing Assam State Premier League.

In an away match today at Udalguri, the city outfit blanked host Udalguri Football Club 3-0. With today�s victory, Green Valley scored 10 points from four matches and maintained the top position in the Lower Assam Zone table.

Dominating the proceedings from the initial stage, Green Valley went 1-0 ahead in the 12th minute through seasoned Nigerian striker Michael Lucky Kelechukwa. Another Nigerian striker George Prince Chinonso struck twice in the 23rd and 71st minutes to confirm three points.

The Udalguri team, which played an exciting game against Guwahati FC here on June 7 and won 3-1, failed to maintain the same momentum.

At Sivasagar, Moran Town Club upset Golaghat Rhino FC 3-1 in the home match.

It was however the Golaghat team which took the lead in the 42nd minute through Simanta Konwar.

But the host team got their act together in the second session and came back to the game with a different form. Amol Bora drew parity in the 65th minute while Indrajit Sonowal made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute. Finally, Mizo player Laldhuawma hammered the final nail to the Golaghat Rhino coffin in the 75th minute.

With today�s victory, Moran TC collected six points from four matches and captured the third spot in the Upper Assam Zone point table.
