GUWAHATI, Sept 19 � The State Government has issued notification that there must be normal functioning and attendance of all government offices and undertakings in view of tomorrow�s bandh.
The Government had already instructed all district and subdivisional authorities to take action to ensure normal functioning of all State government offices, including Transport and Power, during the bandh.
�Employees who abstain themselves from duties tomorrow will be treated as unauthorized absent and appropriate action like pay-cut, break in service, liability for disciplinary actions, etc., shall be resorted to,� an official release said.
All heads of offices/DDO have been instructed to deduct pay and allowances for the days of unauthorized absence from offices and duties tomorrow and to initiate disciplinary action for such unauthorized absence during the bandh, it added.
