Governor reviews Dima Hasao schemes

HAFLONG, June 10 � Governor PB Acharya visited Haflong, who is on a two-day visit here since yesterday, reviewed the various development activities in the Dima Hasao district. This was stated in an official release. The Governor visited Mahur and Maibang areas, covering 13 Constituencies where he reviewed the situation on the ground and also met the CEM, EM�s, MAC�s and various government officials responsible for implementation of the various Centre-sponsored schemes. He also took stock of the road development works of the area being carried out by the various agencies. He further visited the Irrigation Project at Kalachand. The Governor and the First Lady of Assam paid their respect at the statue of the great freedom fighter Ranima Gaidinlieu at Boro Haflong. In his honour a cultural programme was organised where cultural troupes of the different tribes of the district presented traditional dances.
