GUWAHATI, April 7 - The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has constituted a special sanitization team � besides the regular sanitization programme � to cover maximum possible areas of the city.
The team has been equipped with mist blower machine and agriculture spray machine.
Executive Engineer, Garage Branch of GMC Manojit Bujarbaruah is supervising the team, which covered areas like Japorigog, Narakashur Hill Top, FA Road Machkhowa, Hengrabari and Arati Plaza at Chandmari on Tuesday.
�Due to continuous demands from the city residents, the team has been formed to cover maximum possible areas including bylanes of the city,� a source in GMC said.
The regular disinfectant programme of GMC with help of the State Fire and Emergency Services was also carried out on Tuesday. The programme covered more than 100 bylanes.
