DIGBOI, Nov 12 - A 22-year-old girl of a tea tribe community was stabbed to death by her boy friend Bicky Tati (25) at the residence of one Bejan Chakraborty here this morning at Makum Kumarpatti area in Tinsukia district.
The victim was working as a maid in the residence of Chakraborty for more than a decade.
According to sources, the boy entered the house and got involved in an argument which subsequently turned very serious. Then he suddenly took out a sharp knife and stabbed the girl repeatedly beside stabbing himself in a bid to commit suicide in a similar way.
The injured duo was immediately rushed to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital where the girl succumbed to her injuries, while the boy was under treatment till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a member of the house told this reporter that no one from the family was present in the house during the commission of the act.
