GUWAHATI, July 22 - A five-year-old girl, Parbin Khatun, died after a part of the roof of her house collapsed early this morning.
Her mother Fajeda Khatun, father Noor Islam, elder brother Faridul Islam and younger sister Atema Khatun sustained injuries in the incident that occurred at their rented accommodation at Bhootnath. All of them were asleep when a portion of the roof of the two-storied, decades-old building caved in.
Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu said that an investigation would be initiated into the incident.
