GUWAHATI, March 7 - Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia College is organising an all Assam inter-college singing competition on April 7 in the college auditorium in memory of poet, lyricist and dramatist Geetikavi Parvati Prasad Barua.
Two participants from each college of Assam will be eligible to participate in the competition. The first three winners will receive cash awards of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively along with certificates. A consolation prize of Rs 2,000 and a certificate will also be given to another winner, said Dr Sikhamoni Konwar, Principal of the college.
