TURA, Nov 9 - The chairman of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, Denang T Sangma, and his son were injured in a road mishap today. Apart from suffering hand injuries, Sangma had also hurt his back.
The father-son duo was going to Tura from Williamnagar when the accident took place near Watregre village on the NH-44E connecting Tura and Shillong.
The vehicle in which they were travelling, had turned turtle while negotiating a turn.
