GUWAHATI, Dec 13 - Six persons were today arrested by the Dispur police in connection with a gambling racket. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Das (41) of Hengerabari, Mantu Das (22) of Kamalpur, Hementa Boro (38) of Bikrampur, Montu Das (39) of Krishna Nagar, Siva Saikia (35) and Sanjeeb Singh (24) of Nayanpur. Cash and other incriminating items were also seized from their possession.
The accused were allegedly involved with teer gambling, said Dispur police officer in-charge Himangshu Das.
