Foundation day of Chapai�s Nava Graha temple

MANGALDAI, Feb 27 � The �Nava Graha� temple here at Chapai, reportedly one of the largest temples in the North East with the relevant idol or the �Bigraha� observed its foundation day recently along with the 18th edition of �Maha-Jagyanusthan� with a two-day-long programme.

The programme began with �Jagyar Adhibas� in the early morning of the first day. The final day began with �Usha-Kirtan� followed by hoisting of flag, collecting water for the sacrificial fire or �Jagya�, beginning of the �Maha-Jagya� and the inauguration of the new bhawan for the sacrificial fire which was constructed from the donation provided by the �Sita Devi Charitable Trust�of Kolkata.

Kumud Ch Kalita, DC, Darrang formally inaugurated the bhawan.
