DIGBOI, Oct 26 - A former Ward Commissioner of Ward No. 8, Paragdhar Bhuyan was arrested along with one of his companions by the police here on Friday late evening.
The two were arrested after an FIR was lodged by Shipra Mallick, Chairman of the Digboi Municipal Board (DMB) alleging that Bhuyan (45) of the nearby Panbari area and his accomplice Ranjit Borgohain (27) of Bapoapung area had committed house trespass, assaulted a public servant on duty and intentionally caused grievous hurt to a 60-year-old night watchman, besides causing damage to property on Friday late evening within the premises of the Digboi Muncipal Board.
