Forest officers give ration to needy families

JORABAT, April 9 - Beat Officer (BO) of the Marakdola Forest Beat Office Jayanta Kalita and his wife Bhanita Kalita distributed relief among 30 needy families of Lichubagan in Hengrabari area of Guwahati city this morning. He has also assured of his extended support if the situation arises.

The relief material that was distributed at Hengrabari, included rice, potato, edible oil, pulses, onion, sugar, salt and biscuits. Soap was also provided.

BO Kalita has called upon fellow forest officers to come forward to help the government in this crisis situation. He also laid stress on social distancing during distribution of relief materials.

Meanwhile, Sonapur Forest Ranger Dilip Das has also distributed ration among poor families in Sonapur area.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma believes that such initiatives from different segments of society will help about 25 lakh poor families of the State.
