Football referee welfare body formed

GUWAHATI, Sept 28 - The newly formed All Assam Football Referees� Welfare Association set up its committee in its first annual session held at Nagaon recently.

The organisation also conducted a seminar-cum-workshop on football refereeing which was attended by instructor of All India Football Federation John Anthony D Costa and former FIFA assistant referee MK Roy as resource persons.

Assam Football Association (AFA) president Hemendra Nath Brahma along with AFA members Nirmal Chetia, Plaban Baruah, Budhraj Chetry, among others were present on the occasion.

Members of the new body are: Dipak Kr Dey (president), Jibon Gogoi (working president), Hiren Gogoi (secretary), Dibyajyoti Sarma (treasurer), Paban Pathak, Mozahid Raj (joint secretaries).
