RAHA, Oct 22 - One person died and four others were hospitalised following suspected food poisoning on Monday at Raha.
According to information received, five daily wage labourers engaged in a building construction work here complained of stomach ache reportedly after consuming the food they had bought from a nearby hotel in the morning hours.
When their situation worsened, they were taken to Nagaon BP civil hospital where a person identified as Abdul Mannan was declared brought dead.
The four others who are undergoing treatment in the hospital have been identified as Rofiqul Islam, Ikram Hussain, Anamul Haque, Haibur Rahman. All the five persons including the deceased are inhabitants of Siuguri village under Kampur PS. No complaint has been registered with the police till the filing of this report, the police said.
