Flyover in Kaziranga soon

KAZIRANGA, Sept 6 - With an objective to ensure the safety of the wild animals of Kaziranga National Park-cum-Tiger Reserve, a 36-km long flyover will be constructed soon at National Highway 37 passing adjacent to the Kaziranga park.

According to a sources, this flyover will cover about 13 vital wild animal corridors adjacent to Kaziranga National Park-cum-Tiger Reserve. The estimated cost of the proposed project is 2,625 crore. The flyover will cover the distance of 36 km from Jakhalabandha to Kohora.

There will be provision for pedestrians which will enable the visitors to have wide glimpse of Kaziranga National Park on the one side and the green hills of Karbi Anglong in the opposite direction. A senior forest official of the Kaziranga forest department confirmed that the government has asked the officials concerned to prepare a detailed project report including the cost head wise and the time of completion of the project.
