Five UKDA militants surrender

DIPHU, Dec 6 (PTI): Five militants of the United Kukigram Defence Army today surrendered before the army here in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

The militants laid down their arms before Brigadier A Bhuyan, in the presence of Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner S N Barman and Superintendent of Police K K Sarma, at a simple ceremony organised by the Five Rajputana Rifles here.

The militants surrendered two AK-47 rifles, one M-20 rifle, a US made Carbine and a pistol.

The militants have been identified as self styled Sergeant Seiteinmang Gangte, Corporal Lamminlal Gangte, Lamngul Hmar, Thanglenkap Khongsai and Khikhohao Sitlhou.
