GOALPARA, Aug 5 - The Oasis Trust, a registered NGO here is organising a five-day book fair in association with the National Book Trust of India, New Delhi at the school premises of Oasis Academy at Nayapara from August 6 to10.
The book fair will be inaugurated by the Superintendent of Police Nitul Gogoi, and will include a host of other programmes, besides a cultural procession which will be flagged off by Oasis school Principal BDM Sharma. A seminar on �Importance of Book Reading� will be addressed by keynote speaker, retired Head of the English Department of Goalpara College, Joynal Abedin, while former Principal of BN College of Dhubri,Dr Ahijuddin Sheikh, Principal of SBP Memorial HS School, Mornoi, Ashubodh Kalita, Lecturer in the Department of Assamese in Goalpara College, Sailen Sarma and eminent litterateur M Abdul Mozid Khan will act as resource persons.
The programmes will also include Kavi Sanmilan, singing, open quiz, art and dance competitions among the students, besides a magic show which will be hosted by Amal Medhi.
