Ferry services suspended

GUWAHATI, June 21 - The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has suspended all kinds of boats and the ferry services due to the rising water level of the Brahmaputra with effect from today till June 24.

In an order, the district administration stated that the water of Brahmaputra in Kamrup Metropolitan district is rising and may cross the danger level within two to three days.

�Plying of ferries in such a situation may cause untoward incidents, which may lead to threat to the lives and properties of the public,� the order added.
