Fellowship for sports scribes

GUWAHATI, April 27 � The Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) has decided to provide fellowship to scribes who want to write on sports.

This year, the ASJA has invited articles on the subject � Assam Cricket: Future and Challenge. Scribes may write in English, Assamese, Hindi and Bengali on the subject and the write-up should be of over 10,000 words.

Meanwhile, the body of the sports scribes have resolved to hold a lecture programme in memory of noted sports organised Pulin Das. The organisers have invited a renowned cricketer for the lecture programme which is scheduled to be held on July 16.

For the fellowship, candidates may apply to ASJA secretary Bidyut Kalita with their bio-data and a 500-word article on the subject, stated a ASJA release.
