�Fani� prompts changes in train, ferry services

GUWAHATI, May 3 - In view of the cyclonic storm �Fani� which hit the Odisha coast today, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced cancellation of a number of trains.

The 12504 Agartala-Bangalore Cantonment Humsafar Express and the 15906 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express which were scheduled to depart on May 4, the 12510 Guwahati-Bangalore Express which was scheduled to depart on May 5, and the 22501 Bangalore-New Tinsukia SF Express which was scheduled to depart on May 7 have been cancelled, said NFR PRO Nripen Bhattacharya.

Ferry services suspended: In view of the cyclonic storm �Fani�, which hit the Odisha coast today, the Kamrup (Metro) district administration directed the Inland Water Transport (IWT) department to suspend all ferry services in the Brahmaputra.
