GUWAHATI, Aug 5 - A new executive body of Eka Ebong Koekjan Sahitya Patrika (Literary & Cultural Journal) Gosthi was formed recently with Udayan Biswas, founder editor of Eka Ebong Koekjan as its president, Santanu Podder and Partha Ghosh as vice-presidents, Sacchidananda Chowdhury as the general secretary and Kumar Ajit Dutta as treasurer. Dr Sujit Chakraborty, former president of the organisation was elected as its advisor. Eight executive members have also been elected, a press release stated.
The Gosthi also condoled the death of eminent litterateur and social activist, Mahasweta Devi on July 28 last at the age of 91.
