Ethnic Day celebrated

TEZPUR, May 1 - The Girijananda Choudhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) here celebrated �Ethnic Day� recently.

In this connection, a day-long programme was organised. It was inaugurated by Dr Buljit Buragohain. After that, a chorus was presented. The students of the institute also presented Holi Geet, Bhupendra Sangeet, recitation, Bihu dance, modern songs, etc.

The faculty and staff members presented Borgeet, Zikir, Goalporiya Lokageet and Jyoti Sangeet. A streetplay titled Kamur written and directed by Assistant Professor Pinakpani Boruah was also enacted. Various competitions were organised in which students and staff participated.
