Ducati is all set to launch the Hypermotard 950 motorcycle in India tomorrow. The bike was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show. It is likely to replace the brand's existing Hypermotard 939 bike model.

Ducati offers some cosmetic and mechanical changes to the Hypermotard 950 in order to make it sportier than its predecessor. The mechanical update carries a revised 937cc Testastretta L-twin motor that produces an additional 4PS and 1Nm of power and torque, thus leading to an output of 114PS and 96Nm respectively. The bike also gets a fresh exhaust valve timing, a 53mm throttle body, a new injection control unit and a hydraulic clutch.

Externally, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 gets a redesigned fairing, a slightly modified steel trellis frame and revised seating ergonomics. The bike also features LED DRLs and stubby twin-under seat exhausts. Suspension duties are handled by a fully-adjustable Marzocchi USD forks up front and Sachs monoshock at the rear. Other features include cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and disc brakes at both the ends.

The Hypermotard 950 provides the riders with an option of three riding modes - Sport, Touring and Urban. The Hypermotard 950 is also anticipated to be available in a performance focused SP version that features a bi-directional quickshifter. At an expected price range of around Rs.12 to 13 lakhs, the Duacti Hypermotard 950 will take on the likes of the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900.
