Dr Manju Goswami Mishra Memorial Lecture

GUWAHATI, Oct 1 � The Second Dr Manju Goswami Mishra Memorial Lecture was organised by the University Women�s (Graduates) Association of Assam (UWAA) recently at the Cotton College Sudmersen Hall here as a mark of respect to Dr Manju Goswami Mishra, head of Home Science Department of Handique Girls� College, Guwahati on her second death anniversary. Dr Mishra was a life member of UWAA and a social activist, said a press release.

The welcome address was delivered by UWAA president Dr Subrata Sharma Bhattacharya. The chief guest of the event was Dr Sunil Kumar Saikia, popular writer and former head of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), who delivered the second Dr Manju Goswami Mishra Memorial Lecture on the topic: �Food habits: the changing taste of people of North Eastern Region and women entrepreneurship�. The Vice-Chancellor of Cotton College State University Dr Dhrubajyoti Saikia released the book Metamorphosis, a commemorative volume on late Dr Manju Goswami Mishra, edited by Dr Ganga Pada Choudhury and Dr Mamata Goswami.
