Doul Utsav at Ahatguri from March 5

BAIHATA CHARIALI, March 2 � The Ahatguri Sri Sri Krishna Doul Utsav at Nanara Pachim Chuba will be held from March 5 with a two-day programme.

On March 5, the programme will begin with the hoisting of the religious flag by Sarada Prasad Sarma, president of Nagaon gaon panchayat at 8 am. At 9 am, Nalini Deka, retired headmaster of Nanara Girls� High School and Dasarath Kalita, village chief, will perform a plantation programme.

At 10 am, puja will be held and at 10:30 am artiste Balin Kalita will perform nagara naam. At 12 noon, puspanjali will be offered. At 12:30 pm Jyotish Deka will inaugurate the Holi Utsav. The distribution of prasad will begin at 1 pm, followed by the distribution of bhog.

At 3 pm ayotinaam will be held and at 6 pm, Dhaneswar Sarma, retired teacher and president of the Doul Utsav committee, will initiate the banti prajalan programme.

The highlight of the Utsav on March 6 will be Gobinda khel that will begin at 10 am. At 11 am, a procession will be taken out with the idol of Sri Krishna.

Other programmes of the Utsav include mass cleanliness drive and felicitation.
