Dimoria pays tribute to serial blast victims

JORABAT, Oct 30 - The people of Dimoria and its neighbouring areas today paid tribute to the victims of the serial bomb blasts of October 30, 2008.

On the occasion, the Dimoria AASU unit lighted earthen lamps near the statue of Bhupen Hazarika at Sonapur Chowk where hundreds of people from the entire Dimoria and nearby areas paid tribute to the terror victims and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls. They remembered that day in 2008 that shook Assam, and lighted candles and burned incense sticks near the statue as a mark of respect to the blast victims.

President of Dimoria AASU unit Rintu Das said that terrorism of any form is a curse for the entire human race. �We pray for the eternal peace of the souls of the bomb blast victims and condemn such inhuman acts of the terrorists. We pray that such incidents do not take place again in future,� he added.

The Dimoria AASU office and all the neighbouring areas were full of lights lit by the people remembering the victims of the October 30, 2008 serial blasts.

Tributes to the blast victims were also paid by members of the Jorabat Shakha of RSS, where local people got together in large numbers.
