GUWAHATI, Nov 21 � Public activist Prof Deven Dutta was injured in a road accident at Lahdoigarh on the national highway this morning. The mishap occurred when an ASTC bus hit the stationery Mahindra Bolero vehicle where Prof Dutta was travelling in with his brother. The injuries to the duo, however, were minor.
Prof Dutta said that the incident once again brought to the fore the abnormally rising incidence of road mishaps in Assam stemming largely from the authorities� inaction in the matter of enforcement of rules of the road.
