GUWAHATI, Sept 20 - To stimulate cooperation for the prosperity of Assam, a two-day �Multi-stakeholder Development Conclave� organised by the Voluntary Action Network India (VANI) began here on Friday.
The event was inaugurated by Bhabesh Kalita, Minister for Irrigation and Revenue, who commended the initiative and acknowledged the organisation�s role in mainstreaming development issues. Kalita said the government was eager to work with the civil society on various flagship schemes such as skill-building, agricultural productivity, fisheries and empowerment of women. VANI CEO Harsh Jaitli said the conclave�s motive was to explore various partnership models with the government and the private sector.
