Demand for separate Bodoland State

NEW DELHI, Aug 11 � An ally of ruling UPA II, Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary today demanded a separate State of Bodoland.

�An age-old and a very long pending issue relates to bringing about a lasting political solution to the Bodoland statehood demand. The attainment of a separate State of Bodoland is the birth right of the indigenous Bodo people.

�I would like to strongly urge the Government of India to take appropriate steps to help create the long awaited separate State,� demanded Bwiswmutiary during the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha.
