GUWAHATI, June 4 � GUTA office bearers, Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita, president, Prof Sanjay Singh, vice-president, Dr Jagadish Sarmah, general secretary and Dr Dwipen Bezbaruah, former secretary, visited the Nijarapar house of Dr Bhupen Hazarika and met the family members of the Hazarika family and deeply condoled the death of Priyamboda Hazarika -- wife of Dr Bhupen Hazarika who breathed her last yesterday night -- and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members and relatives.
The members of GUTA also prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul. Younger brother of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Samar Hazarika, his wife and daughter received the members of GU Teachers� Association and had some interaction at their residence. Samar Hazarika and family members thanked GUTA for visiting them at this time of grief and sorrow.
