TURA, Nov 15 - The Congress protest juggernaut against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill reached the North Garo Hills district on Thursday. A protest rally was held in the district headquarters at Resubelpara on the occasion.
The rally was led by Congress MLA from Mendipathar, Marthon Sangma, and former MLA of Kharkutta Cherak Momin, along with members of the District Congress Committee, DYC and Mahila Congress.
The protesters sought unconditional withdrawal of the controversial Bill. A similar protest was held at Williamnagar in East Garo Hills on November 10.
