GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - One Dipen Das of Azara today filed a complaint at the Bharalumukh Police Station alleging that the Kumar Nursing Home located in Kumarpara area of the city asked him to cough up an exaggerated amount of money in lieu of his now deceased wife�s recent stay at the hospital.
According to police, the complainant�s wife Sangita Das died at the private hospital on September 21 after giving birth to a girl. Today, when Das sought discharge from the hospital, the hospital management asked him to pay up Rs 48,000, following which Das decided to approach the police.
