CM�s condition stable

NEW DELHI, July 25 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has been advised complete rest by doctors. He will undergo angiography tomorrow.

On his second day in Max Hospital in South Delhi, the Chief Minister was reported to be stable. Reports of his medical tests were also stated to be normal. Gogoi was rushed to the Hospital

yesterday, straight from the meeting of the National Development Council (NDC) after he complained of breathlessness. His blood pressure too was stated to be unstable.

A steady stream of visitors eager to meet the Chief Minister, meanwhile, alarmed the doctors, who had earlier advised him complete rest suspecting exhaustion to be one of the prime causes of his restlessness.

The Chief Minister, who had breakfast in the morning was soon greeted by a host of visitors, including Governor of Bihar Devananda Konwar, Chief Secretary Naba Kumar Das, Director of AIIMS, Dr Ramesh Deka, besides a host of State Congress MLAs who happened to be in town. With the Parliament session scheduled to commence from tomorrow, several of the MPs were also planning to call on him at the hospital.

Towards afternoon, the doctors clamped total restriction on visitors and allowed only immediate family members. The Chief Minister�s wife Dolly Gogoi was the only member of the family, who was with him till last night.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister is likely to stay put in the capital for sometime in keeping with the suggestions of the doctors, sources said.
