GUWAHATI, April 5 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who is also the president of the Assam Olympic Association (AOA), interacted with the leading sportspersons of the State, members of the AOA, officials of the district sports associations and took stock of the situation amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The interaction took place through conference call from CM�s residential office. The Chief Minister urged all the sportspersons to fight against the deadly virus by being united by following all the government guidelines thoroughly.
Arjuna awardee athlete Bhogeswar Barua praised the action taken by the Central Government.
Noted sportspersons including the likes of Lovlina Borgohain, Arjuna awardee Hima Das, Shivangi Sharma, officials of district association of Hailakandi, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Tinsukia and Hojai, among others took part in the conference call.
