Clean Green Arunachal campaign launched

GUWAHATI, July 25 - The Aalo Forest Division has launched the Clean Green Arunachal Campaign and Vanmahotsav, 2019, under the theme, �Plant more trees, make environment pollution free�. As many as 4,900 saplings were planted at various locations on the occasion.

Divisional Forest Officer Abhinav Kumar highlighted the importance of planting trees to make the environment pollution-free, a press release received from the DIPRO, Aalo, stated.

Plastic-free zone: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Aalo has been declared a plastic and tobacco-free zone under the Swachhata Challenge. Officers and other staff have been given clear instructions not to bring plastic items like water bottles and single-use plastic items and tobacco products within the premises of the office building.

Regular water supply will be provided by the PHED, Aalo, and an alternative site for dumping of office waste is being identified. Disciplinary action will be taken against the office staff violating the decision under the Arunachal Pradesh Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1997.
