GUWAHATI, Oct 11 � The CBSE Cluster I Table Tennis Championships was formally inaugurated at a glittering function at the Mama Margaret auditorium of the Don Bosco School Guwahati today.
SAI city centre director in charge Subhash Basumatary was the chief guest in the opening ceremony where CBSE observer Birju Ram, School Principal Fr Sebastian Kuricheal, vice principal Fr Xavier Beck were also present.
The programme was started with the hoisting of the CBSE flag by Birju Ram while the School flag was hoisted by Fr Sebastian Kuricheal.
Basumatary formally declared the championships open by playing some friendly opening shots with school principal. Around 130 paddlers from 24 CBSE affiliated schools of Assam and one from Nagaland are taking part in the meet.
