GOSSAIGAON, Oct 3 - A total of 16 high-breed cows were seized from a truck bearing registration no AS-01-HC-8277, coming from Sonapur in West Bengal, was seized by police at the Simultapu watch post on NH-31(C) in Kokrajhar district.
The driver of the truck, which was proceeding towards Guwahati, could not produce any document for transporting the high-breed cows. The truck and the driver have been taken into police custody. Several trucks transporting cows illegally have been seized by Simultapu police in the past.
