SHILLONG, April 6 - To add colour to the drab campaigning, the state Election Commission today organised a bike-vintage car-bicycle rally sprinkled with music to appeal to the voters to exercise their franchise in the Lok Sabha election on April 11.

The rallies and the music programmes were organised under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation. Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor flagged off the rallies from Shillong Club.

East Khasi Hills Returning Officer Abhishek Bhagotia said the voter turnout is usually less for the Parliamentary polls compared to the Assembly elections and so efforts were being taken for more people to come out and vote.
