JALUKBARI, Oct 12 - A programme on use of online resources was organised at the UGC HRDC Centre of Gauhati University by Springer Nature in collaboration with the Centre recently.
GU Vice Chancellor Dr Mridul Hazarika spoke about the importance of e-resources in 21st century teaching and learning processes, while Prof Nanigopal Mahanta, head of the Political Science Department and Director of the Centre for South East Asian Studies at GU, said quality publications determine the standard of higher education in today's competitive world. Springer Nature resource person Alpana Sagwal, through her presentation, analysed the strength of GU in terms of using e-resources, and also interacted with researchers and faculty members.
UGC HRDC Director Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita encouraged everyone to use technology in teaching, learning and research areas. Faculties, deans, research scholars and faculty members from different colleges and universities took part in the programme.
