BSF skips Holi as a mark of respect to 12 slain CRPF men

SHILLONG, March 13 - The Border Security Force (Meghalaya Frontier) has decided not to celebrate Holi today as a mark of respect to the 12 CRPF personnel who were killed by Naxals in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.

In a statement issued here, PK Dubey, IG, BSF, Meghalaya Frontier expressed his condolences to the martyrs and strongly condemned the Maoist attack describing it as a cowardly act. He also extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Most paramilitary forces, like CISF, ITBP and SSB have given Holi a miss this year to pay homage to the 12 CRPF personnel.
