GUWAHATI, Oct 8 The Border Security Force (BSF) has refuted the statements made recently by Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leader Atul Bora on the Indo-Bangla border areas of Goloklganj and Gauripur Legislative Assembly constituencies.

In a press statement, the BSF said that unlike what the AGP leader had alleged, the international border is fenced and all the roads and bridges are guarded round-the-year.

Strong contingent of BSF is deployed on the border and carrying out their duties despite adverse climactic conditions and even in flooded Brahmaputra River, the BSF press statement mentioned.

Hence, unabated infiltration and smuggling of cattle is out of question, it said, adding, The Indian population living ahead of border fencing are well protected round-the-clock by BSF personnel, the BSF asserted.

The BSF strongly condemns and refutes the statement made by the AGP leader, the press statement added.
